Created by nature...finished by hand

I am a woodturner working from my workshop in the market town of Turriff, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. My passion is to breathe new life into reclaimed whisky casks. I take the old oak whisky cask staves and make items, such as pens, keyrings, bookmarks, tea light candle holders, and even Christmas decorations. I work the wood into a unique Scottish heritage piece with my aim being to showcase the beautiful grain and also retain some of the historical marks in the wood. Each piece is unique and has character long in the making, I cut and sand each piece by hand and finish the piece with Danish oil, or wax to protect the finish.
