Bottle Opener Whisky Barrel Oak

These Bottle openers are made from re-claimed Speyside whisky barrel staves in my workshop in Turriff, Aberdeenshire. The wood is cut to size from the old oak casks and hand turned on my lathe, it is then carefully sanded to highlight the beautiful grain while trying to keep as much of the ancient character of the wood. The piece is then drilled and fitted with a chrome plated bottle opener and finally the oak handle is finished with a generous coating of (food safe) mineral oil to feed and protect the wood. All of my bottle openers are unique and no two are the same, they are available with a variation where the handle end is capped with a shotgun shell endcap.

Each bottle opener comes with a certificate of authenticity.
